Thanksgiving!

Jon and I wanted to host Thanksgiving this year. We have our new home and we wanted to introduce the pups to the extended family. It was so great, the pups were SO happy to see the kids. I wasn't sure how they would be since we don't usually have children around, but they loved the nieces and nephews and the kids loved them.

Happy Thanksgiving!

QT with my pups!

Being that by the time I get home from work it is pitch black outside, I don't usually get to hang out with the pupsters other than "inside time". It is mostly them conked out on the floor or couch snoozing the evening away. Well this weekend I didn't have to work (yea), but Jon did (boo). Which means that I have to be extra quiet (he works 3rd shift) during the day while he sleeps. I figure we can be as loud as we want outside. It was a cool weekend, but not cold, so being outside was nice. Saturday morning we went to the dog park very early to meet up with some other greyhound owners. Unfortunately they were a blur the whole time, so I don't have any pics to share. :( When we got home I decided to do poop patrol, and they could keep me company. I still had the camera in my pocket and I'm really glad I did. I actually got some up-right pictures! There aren't many opportunities for them, so I went trigger happy. :)

outside adventures:

For people who think greyhounds are high energy dogs, look at this. They have a large backyard to play in... we are outside for 5 minutes and the only way I get them to stir is by calling their name to pose for a lazy day picture. Lazy pupers. :)
We have a LARGE, soft backyard, she chooses the pile of leaves on the deck.
Mom, stop paying attention to Bella, look at me!
Did you say treat? oh, I though I heard you say treat... is there a treat???

Bo: Whatcha sniffin? Bella: Somethin stinky.

Can we go inside now? Pleeeaaase???

Leggy Bo, snoozing after a long day.

What a tough day! I'm POOPED!

Life before the pups

I can barely remember the times, before the pups, when we could walk from one place to another without doggy road blocks. I was working on the computer, I had to run to get the phone in another room (with 2 pups at my heels) on the way back to the computer I had some major traffic with road blockage:

Two way traffic, and neither one can make an easy u-turn in this narrow hallway.

Road block. Oh did you want through??? Take note that he fills up almost half the hallway in length! My long pupper. :)

Grey Zombie

This is a very blurry picture, but I love how she seems to have serious laser zombie eyes... feed me.................. feed me................... FEED ME!!!

Now THIS is a roach

There are some big differences between our Mr Bo and Ms Bean. They have different ways of showing contentment. While our handsome Bo will stretch out and take his love happily, maybe even rub his face to show how happy he is, he can't roll over. He'll try, but at most gets halfway there and flops back over.
Ms Bella Bean on the other hand will take any and all roaching opportunities. Here is a good solid roach:
And when we see her so happy we have to get in on it!
We have a very happy home!

Just cute

Daily I am hit with cute overloads. They just never fail to make me smile on a daily, if not hourly basis and I have to share a few of their cutenessess that they share with me:
Doggy ying & yang

The dreaded ETS, escaped tongue syndrome... the snoozin is so good that tongue control is lost! :)

Waking up face rub. :)

Penguin massacre!!!!

There has been the most heinous of crimes commited in our home! The first, the vocal damage of a brand new screaming monkey. The poor stuffy barely came out of it's box when a tooth made it's way into the voicebox and silenced the scream forever. *sniff The second, and most disturbing, was the total massacre of Mr Penguin. He was in the backyard happily carried by Bo, when Bella decided it was tug-o-war time. Mr. Penguin's seam tore. Jon and I walked into the backyard and there was... Penguin stuffing ALL OVER THE YARD!! I could barely stomach the mess! Paws were pointed but I have some evidence that shows at least one culprit.

I didn't do nothin! I want my lawyer!

Ooh, a bit of fluff left over.

I'll make sure you never talk!

Bella's cover shot

Bella has found her throne. She'll get up on the chair and pull the most lavish of poses. Upright and regal, tucked in and unassuming, or like last night tossed over the chair in the most dramatic 20's style pictures...

Are you getting my good side?

I'm ready for my close-up!

Bella the ham

On our way home from the dog park on Sunday Bella was just giving the best faces! Bo was quietly snoozing the ride away but Bella wouldn't take her eyes off of us!

I see you!

Can't you see I'm sleeping here?? HA! Wasn't it funny when I took off like lightning at the dog park and you couldn't get me? But it was funny watching you try!!!

Pity Stare

So both dogs are masters of stairs. Bo is still a bit more cautious going down, but they go up and down with the best of them. So now if I'm just making a quick trip to the basement (switching laundry. etc) I have to close the door behind me, otherwise I have to make sure their snoots aren't snooting where they shouldn't be. But when I do close the door on them I get this: I wanna come down too!

Mmmmm, Peanut Butter

Slurp! Boy do they LOVE peanut butter. I only give them some once in a great while, but I have to have the camera ready when I do 'cuz they are licking their chops for 10 minutes after the last bite.

Flashin those pearly whites!

Dog park crash

My two pups ran their hearts out at the dog park. Making new friends, sniffig new smells, tapping some bottomless pee reserve in order to mark every 2 minutes!!! :) So as soon as we got into the car, they just crashed... and hard. In the car:

As soon as we got home: And later that night, they were so tired... that Bo totally forgot his "personal space" issue that he has with Bella (She'll snuggle anything!)

Awwwwwww!

DOG PARK!!!

This weekend we went to the dog park with our greys for the 1st time. The nervous mom came out on me, and I was afraid to let them loose. The park it totally enclosed, but worse case senarios kept coming up in my head. But they had a blast and didn't think of me for a second while there. Fortunately the loved the dogs we were walking with so that kept them somewhat close by. I kep the muzzles on until I've had them for a little longer and can predict their behaiour more. Again, they had a blast.

We would never spoil the dogs

And this is proof positive that the above statement is a total lie. They just got new yummy filled bones and were munchin away in "their" room. I put their toys away, and within minutes the room looks like this.

How sweet

We got the dogs some new bedding (Thanks Goodwill!) and Bella snuggled right in and just look adorable.
Mom Peckham came by this weekend to meet the grandpups. Bella couldn't pass up the opportunity to mooch some extra snuggles. They fell in love with our pupsters and their gentle greyhound ways.
Bella: Is there room for me on the couch??
